Sony’s AV Roadshow rolls into town

On Friday 19 May, we were delighted to welcome our friends from Sony to our Maidenhead offices, when the Sony AV Roadshow rolled into town.

As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Audio Visual technologies, our team was excited to take a look inside the trailer, learn more about the latest Sony products and find out how they are innovating the future of the hybrid workplace.

Showcasing an extensive range of collaboration solutions – from their flagship Bravia TVs to Room Booking touchscreens to Teams Room compatible large format displays – and with a team of Product Experts on board, our Engineers seized the opportunity to raise questions, share experiences and expand their knowledge of the Sony range.  This helped to stimulate discussion and inspire some interesting ideas, as we continue to explore new ways of elevating excellence in AV installation.

While Sony’s team brought the sights and the sounds of their AV Roadshow, it was our favourite local restaurants that brought the tastes and smells to the al fresco banquette, ensuring everyone was well-fed and energised for an afternoon of activities.

To support our Charity Partner of the Year, Maidenhead Food Share, and the essential work they do in the local community, we encouraged our colleagues and guests to participate in the 'Coin and Can' donation.  It was heart-warming to see everyone’s generosity, with plenty of spare change going into the charity’s funds and fresh cans going onto their shelves.

There were lots of goodies on offer in our Tombola – which raised £300 for Maidenhead Foodshare – including Sony merch, chocs, drinkies and smellies.  The first prize – a pair of Sony’s top-of-the-range WF-1000XM3 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones – certainly caught the eye of the Engineering team!

We thank everyone at Sony for coming to Maidenhead and as they hit the road again, we look forward to seeing them back soon.
